This SMS Privacy Policy explains how Iglesia Restauración En Cristo (also known as Restoration In Christ Church, a Texas 501(c)(3) non-profit religious organization — hereinafter “IREC”, “the Church”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, stores, and protects the personal information you provide when you consent to receive text (SMS/MMS) messages from us.
This policy applies uniformly across all of our official web properties, including but not limited to: IglesiaREC.org, IglesiaREC.com, GoRICChurch.org, and GoRICChurch.com. Any of these domains may be used to display SMS opt-in forms or to link to this policy; they all refer to the same organization and the same SMS program.
When you opt in to receive text messages from IREC, we collect: your mobile phone number, your explicit consent to receive text messages, the date and time of your opt-in, and (where applicable) your name and email address if you provide them.
We use the phone number you provide solely to send you text messages that fall within the categories to which you opted in. These include:

We do not sell, rent, lease, or otherwise share your mobile phone number, SMS opt-in data, or SMS consent record with any third party for their own marketing or promotional purposes. We use trusted communications-infrastructure providers (specifically Twilio Inc.) to deliver text messages on our behalf. These providers are bound by confidentiality and data-processing obligations and may not use your data for their own purposes.
Some messages you receive from IREC may be sent using automated systems including application-to-person (A2P) messaging technology. By opting in, you consent to receive such automated messages.
We retain your mobile number and opt-in consent record for as long as your subscription remains active plus a reasonable audit period after opt-out (typically 24 months) required to demonstrate compliance with U.S. carrier and TCPA regulations.
We take reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. No system is fully secure; however, we implement industry-standard practices including encryption in transit and access controls.
Our SMS program is not directed to persons under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect mobile phone numbers from children under 13.
We may update this SMS Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via a notice on our website. Continued use of our SMS service after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
