Your Data & Donations Are Safe
How we protect every gift, every prayer request, and every visitor.
Trust & Compliance
Restoration In Christ Church takes stewardship seriously — including the stewardship of your personal information and payment data. This page explains our security posture in plain language.
PCI DSS · Level 1
PCI DSS Compliance — Handled by Our Payment Processor
All credit and debit card donations are processed by a PCI DSS Level 1 certified payment provider (the highest tier possible). Card numbers, CVVs, and expiration dates never touch our servers — they are entered directly into our processor's encrypted, iframe-hosted form and tokenized before we ever see the transaction. The infrastructure meets the same standards used by Fortune 500 e-commerce platforms.
- Card data never touches our server — our processor handles all of it
- We qualify for the simplest PCI level (SAQ A) — self-attestation only
- All traffic is served over HTTPS with modern TLS 1.3 encryption
- Donation receipts and transaction records are stored without card numbers
How We Handle Your Personal Data
- Prayer requests can be submitted anonymously or privately
- Newsletter and connect-card emails are used only for pastoral contact
- We never sell, rent, or share your data with third parties
- Admin access to donor / prayer information is restricted and audited
- You can request deletion of your data by emailing Info@GoRICChurch.org

Infrastructure Security
- Servers hosted in SOC 2 compliant data centers
- Database encrypted at rest with automatic backups
- JWT authentication with httpOnly cookies for admin sessions
- Password hashing via bcrypt (industry standard)
- Regular security patches applied by our platform provider

Common Security Questions
Does the church need to be PCI compliant?
Because our payment processor handles all card data on our behalf, we qualify for the simplest PCI compliance level (SAQ A). We complete a short annual self-assessment questionnaire. Your card data is never exposed to us.
Are my donations tax-deductible?
Yes. Restoration In Christ Church is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit. You'll receive an emailed receipt after each gift and an annual giving statement on request.
Is my prayer request private?
By default, yes — every prayer request is private and only seen by our pastoral team. You may opt in to sharing it publicly on our Prayer Wall (anonymized) when you submit.
How is my payment information protected?
All payment forms are hosted by our PCI-certified payment processor and served over HTTPS. Your card details are encrypted end-to-end and never stored on our servers.
Who has access to donor data?
Only authorized pastoral staff and the treasurer. Access requires two-factor login and every action is logged.
